The West African College of Surgeons is a professional regional organization of 22 countries that promotes the education and training of Specialists, examinations. The WACS UK Forum was inaugurated by the President of the college at the opening event in London, October 2008. The forum is made up of Fellows of the college, Associate members, Nurses and Friends of WACS based in the UK who work in partnership with the college towards achieving the highest standard of Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), Continuing Medical Education (CME), training and research in the West African sub-region.

These are achieved through participation in the college activities, surgical outreach missions and the relationships formed from these interactions
